Itinerary

  • Day: 01 Bhubaneswar – Mangalajodi @ Chilika Lake

    Upon arrival at Bhubaneswar airport / railway station transfer to Mangalajodi @ Chilika Lake en-route visiting Khandagiri – Udayagiri caves. Check into hotel (basic amenities) and overnight at Mangalajodi.

  • Day: 02 Mangalajodi – Barkul @ Chilika Lake

    Barkul

    Early morning cruise to the Wetlands of Mangalajodi with a countryside boat to witness thousands of migratory and resident birds. After breakfast visit to Barkul. Morning boat ride into Chilika lake, the largest Brackish Water Lake in Asia. In winter Chilika aflutter with thousands of migratory birds as far as from Siberia. Visit Nalabana Bird Sanctuary, Honeymoon Island. Later visit a few fishing village at Chilika Lake, see the fishermen at work looking to fish Prawns, Mackerel and Crabs. Then visit to Odi Art Centre ( Open from 09AM to 5 PM & Closed on Thursday) showcases the traditional, folk and tribal arts of Odisha. Overnight at Barkul.

  • Day: 03 Barkul – Rambha @ Chilika Lake

    After breakfast drive to Rambha @ Chilika Lake. During the breeding season of Olive Ridley Turtles come to this place to lay their eggs (Turtles are found in between Jan- Mar). . You have the chance to witness the Turtles laying eggs and may have the chance to see the eggs turning to small tort Turtles and going to the sea. Volunteers help the little ones to go to the sea. Overnight at Rambha.

  • Day: 04 Rambha – Satpada @ Chilika Lake- Puri

    After breakfast leave for Satpada through ferry. Cross the lake and reach at Satpada. Do boating inside the lake to view Irrawadi Dolphins and Sea Mouth. Drive to Puri. Enroute visit to Raghurajpur painting village. Night stay at Puri.

  • Day: 05 Puri – Bhubaneswar/Puri Drop

    After breakfast check out from the hotel & visit to Shree Jagannath Temple ( Non Hindus are not allowed, but view it from outside platform). Drive to Bhubaneswar / Puri railway station for onward journeys with sweet memories.
