Madurai is the 25th largest city of India. Mainly Madurai famous for its temples and the famous Dravidian architecture of these temples. During Madurai tour visit the following temples: SreeMeenakshi Amman Temple, Thirupparankundram Murugan Temple, Gandhi Museum, Samanar Hills, Koodal Azhagar Temple, Pazhamudhir Solai. Among all these temples Meenakshi temple is the most famous dedicated to Lord Shiva.

After Madurai the tour resumes to Rameshwaram. Visit the Ramanathaswamy temple, dedicated to Lord Rama. This place is unique one having 22 holy springs. After visiting this temple visit the five faced hanuman temple. The temple has a floating stone outside and it has a history from Ramayana. After Rameshwaram drive to Kanyakumari. Then go for sightseeing of Kanyakumari – visit Suchithram temple, Kanyakumaridevi temple, Vivekananda rock, Gandhi memorial and trivenisangam where the three seas Arabian sea, Indian ocean and Bay of Bengal confluence. After sightseeing enjoy the most beautiful sunset at Kanyakumari. Overnight stay at Kanyalumari and next day depart from Kanyakumari.

Itinerary

  • Day: 1 Arrival at Rameshwaram

    Reach Rameshwaram by train/flight. Check in to hotel. Freshen up & free day for the relaxation it is a town in the Ramanathapuram district of Tamil Nadu. Night halt at Rameswaram.

  • Day: 2 Rameshwaram - Dhanushkoti (20 Km/ ½ hour)

    Morning after breakfast visit to Ramanathaswamy temple. Visit to next start journey to Dhanushkoti, visit to Sphatik Lingam Darshan at the famous Ramanathan temple – a master piece in Dravidian architecture. Enroute visit Annai Indira Gandhi Road Bridge is also known as the Pamban Bridge. This bridge is over 2.34 km long and was constructed with sufficient elevation. Kothandaramaswamy temple is around 12 km away from town. The temple is dedicated to lord Rama, goddess Sita, Lakshmana, Hanuman and Vibhishna.

  • Day: 3 Rameshwaram - Madurai (179km/4 Hours)

    Early in the morning leave for Madurai, Check in. Freshen up & start local sightseeing of Meenakshi temple.  Later visit to Thirumalai Nayak palace was built in 16th century. Next to Alagar Koil is a temple situated in the nearby hills, around 20 km towards the north of Madurai. This temple is dedicated to lord Vishnu and comprises three sanctuaries of diminishing size holding the idol of lord Vishnu. Dinner and rest at Madurai.

  • Day: 4 Madurai - Kanyakumar (3hr 55mnts / 250km)

    Early morning after breakfast start journey from Madurai to Kanyakumari, which was famous as “Cape Comorin” in the past, is situated in Tamil Nadu, India.
    check in to hotel then after fresh up enjoy sunset in the evening at Kanyakumari beach is a beach destination as well as religious spot located towards the southern-most tip of peninsular india. Overnight at Kanyakumari.

  • Day: 5 Kanyakumari

    Morning after breakfast visit to Swami Vivekanand rock memorial, Next visit Kanyakumari temple or the Kanyakumari Bhagavathiamman temple is a chief attraction of Kanyakumari and is dedicated to the virgin goddess Kanyakumari, an incarnation of goddess Parvathi. Evening visit Suchindram temple. Located almost mid-way between Nagercoil and it is a very famous pilgrim center. Then proceeds to Kanhyakumari railway station for onwards journey. (End of Services)
